Note :
- In addition to Sybase, the candidate must have either SQL or Oracle experience.
- Client is on-site 4 days/week so if in the Detroit area, if they'd be willing on-site would be preferred.
Sybase DBA (with Oracle/SQL Support)
- We are seeking a skilled Sybase DBA to support database architecture, administration, and best practice implementation.
- The role involves designing, upgrading, and maintaining Sybase databases, along with supporting Oracle and SQL environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database architecture
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, and expansions
- Monitor performance, tuning, backup, and restore operations
- Manage schema changes and database objects
- Execute routine maintenance (e.g., run stats)
- Provide operational support and resolve high-priority issues
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Sybase DBA functions
- Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server
- Expertise in database design, performance tuning, and maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and support production environments
