We're seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Back Office Medical Assistant - Pediatrics to join a busy, mission-driven community clinic. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and take pride in keeping patient flow smooth-from rooming and vitals to assisting with procedures and vaccines-this is a great opportunity to support pediatric providers and make a real impact for children and families. NextGen EHR experience is a plus.
Pay Rate: $21.00 /hr.
Shift: Monday - Friday / 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Location: Hacienda Heights, CA
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare exam rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sanitized
Room pediatric patients, obtain and document vital signs, height/weight, and chief complaints
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
Administer vaccines and medications per provider orders and clinic protocols
Accurately document patient information in NextGen EHR, including histories, immunizations, and visit notes
Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., rapid strep, flu tests) and document results
Provide patient and caregiver education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care in both English and Spanish
Maintain vaccine inventory and ensure proper storage/handling per guidelines
Support care coordination, referrals, and follow-up appointments
Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA compliance standards
Medical Assistant Job Description:
1+ year back-office MA experience (pediatrics strongly preferred)
Bilingual Spanish/English (required)
NextGen EHR experience strongly preferred
BLS/CPR current (or willing to obtain upon hire)
High school diploma/GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Comfortable working with diverse pediatric populations and families
