Location: Gallatin, TN
We are looking for someone who comes from a Hands on Background.
TEKsystems is seeking Cable Technicians to support a large-scale data center project in Gallatin, TN. This opportunity is ideal for technicians with experience in structured cabling who are comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
Description
The Cable Technician will be responsible for the installation, termination, and support of CAT6 cabling within a data center facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow drawings and installation standards, and a commitment to job-site safety. Technicians will work as part of a team to ensure cabling infrastructure is installed correctly and meets project specifications.
Responsibilities

• Install, route, dress, and terminate CAT6 cabling
• Perform testing, inspections, and basic troubleshooting
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and structured cabling standards
• Work collaboratively with onsite teams and supervisors
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed
• Adhere to all safety policies and construction site requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience with low-voltage or structured cabling
• Experience working in commercial or data center environments preferred
• Knowledge of CAT6 cabling standards and best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Gallatin, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
