Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure solution design across Unix, Windows, Middleware, and Database domains, and a proven ability to deliver reliable, automated infrastructure services at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Design tools and services within the infrastructure domain that align with architectural governance, standards, and policies.


• Create and integrate infrastructure tools as managed services to enable business strategies.


• Develop deployment templates, playbooks, and automation to facilitate technical solution implementation.


• Continuously improve reliability and efficiency of infrastructure tools and services.


• Support system, database, and middleware administration and design in large-scale environments.


• Collaborate across diverse viewpoints to define solution paths and advance tools, technology, and ways of working.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


• 8+ years of expert-level infrastructure solution design across Unix, Windows, Middleware, and Database areas.


• Hands-on experience with system, database, and middleware administration and design in large-scale environments, preferably in financial services.


• Strong understanding of infrastructure domains including networking and the full application development stack.


• Proficiency in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications on Windows and Unix platforms.


• Working knowledge of ESX/VMware/vSAN and related virtualization platforms.


• Experience with enterprise automation and orchestration tools, including Ansible.


• DevOps experience focused on automation, CI/CD, and operational excellence.


• Ability to connect with stakeholders to understand future business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience at Bank of America.


• Experience with VMware ecosystem design and operations at scale.


• Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
