Description:
This title reflects the role's core requirements: leading a production migration from Azure or AWS to Google Cloud Platform, architecting LLM-based applications, and guiding zero-downtime data migration and modernization. The person should be hands-on.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the architecture and execution of a production migration from Microsoft Azure or AWS to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will combine deep Google Cloud Platform architecture expertise with hands-on experience in hyperscaler migrations, LLM-based application architectures, data migration strategies, and zero-downtime production cutovers.
The architect will work closely with application, data, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to define the target-state architecture, manage migration risks, and guide implementation teams through phased delivery and production readiness reviews.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture and execution of production migrations from Azure or AWS to Google Cloud Platform.

Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective Google Cloud Platform architectures aligned with business and application requirements.

Define migration strategies for applications, databases, storage, caching, AI services, monitoring, and networking.

Architect zero-downtime data migration approaches, including dual-write patterns, data reconciliation, validation, rollback, and cutover strategies.

Design and evaluate LLM-based application architectures, including provider transitions and agent-orchestration frameworks.

Guide infrastructure engineering teams on Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD orchestration, deployment sequencing, and operational readiness.

Assess technical trade-offs, dependencies, risks, and migration options, presenting recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Lead architecture reviews and phase-gate discussions, ensuring that migration decisions meet reliability, security, performance, and business continuity requirements.

Evaluate emerging Google Cloud agent technologies, including the Agent Development Kit (ADK), to inform future-state architecture decisions.
