Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's partner, a large financial services organization in Birmingham, AL, is expanding its mortgage technology team in preparation for a significant pipeline of system upgrades and enhancements. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background supporting mortgage operations and technology within a banking or financial services environment. This position will support initiatives involving loan origination systems (LOS), lending point-of-sale (POS) platforms, and related mortgage tools. The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements, document business needs, support solution delivery, and coordinate acceptance testing.

What You'll Do:
* Partner with mortgage business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technology teams to understand business processes, system needs, and enhancement requests
* Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for mortgage technology initiatives
* Translate mortgage business needs into clear requirements and documentation for technology and delivery teams
* Support enhancements and upgrades to loan origination, lending point-of-sale, and related mortgage systems
* Perform traditional Business Analyst activities throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition through implementation
* Support acceptance testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including validating delivered solutions against business requirements
* Work within an Agile delivery environment and participate in requirements refinement and other Agile activities
* Collaborate across multiple workstreams as the organization expands and modernizes its mortgage technology environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst supporting technology initiatives
* Mortgage/home lending experience within a banking or financial services environment
* Strong understanding of mortgage business processes and the technology used to support the mortgage lifecycle
* Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements
* Experience creating and maintaining formal business requirements documentation (BRDs)
* Experience working within Agile delivery environments
* Hands-on experience with acceptance testing and/or User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Experience supporting mortgage loan origination systems (LOS), lending point-of-sale (POS) applications, or related mortgage technology
* Strong ability to communicate and work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:
* Approximately 8 years of relevant Business Analyst and banking technology experience
* Experience with Empower mortgage loan origination software
* Experience with Encompass, nCino, or other mortgage/lending LOS or POS platforms
* Advanced SQL skills
* Experience supporting mortgage system enhancements, upgrades, or modernization initiatives.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
