The ideal candidate has significant experience working with AWS GovCloud or federal AWS environments and can operate as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders.

    • CIDR allocation

    • Routing

    • Multi-account networking

    • IP address conflicts and overlapping CIDR ranges

  • Develop recommendations for remediation of complex networking and architecture issues.

  • Review Amazon EKS/Kubernetes architecture and provide architecture-level guidance and recommendations.

  • Advise on AWS security, governance, scalability, resiliency, and cloud operating models.

  • Support architectural escalations and complex technical problem solving.

  • Evaluate environments against federal security and compliance requirements.

  • Develop clear written technical assessments, findings, recommendations, review memoranda, and architecture documentation.

  • Communicate complex technical issues and recommendations to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Significant senior-level experience designing, assessing, or advising on AWS enterprise cloud architectures.

  • Strong experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, CIDR allocation, routing, and multi-account networking.

  • Experience identifying and resolving overlapping CIDR ranges or IP address conflicts in complex AWS environments.

  • Experience with AWS Organizations, multi-account governance, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).

  • Experience working with AWS GovCloud, federal cloud environments, or highly regulated environments.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and enterprise architecture principles.

  • Experience assessing or reviewing Amazon EKS/Kubernetes architecture.

  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as:

    • NIST SP 800-53

    • FedRAMP

    • FISMA

    • Zero Trust principles

  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce architecture assessments, findings, recommendations, technical documentation, and executive-level summaries.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, program leadership, and customer stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting federal government customers or federal contractors.

  • Experience serving as a Principal Architect, Cloud Architect, Enterprise Architect, Advisory Consultant, or similar senior technical advisor.

  • AWS professional-level certifications are a plus.

  • Experience leading architecture reviews or cloud modernization assessments.

  • Experience advising organizations operating large, complex AWS multi-account environments.
