Summary


Role: Kong API Management Engineer
Location: Remote

Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, and manage Kong Gateway for API traffic routing and management.

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and API integrations.

Implement API security policies using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and access control.

Configure Kong plugins for authentication, rate limiting, logging, and traffic control.

Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize gateway configurations.

Collaborate with development, DevOps, and cloud teams to support microservices-based applications.

Integrate Kong Gateway with backend services and enterprise applications.

Support API lifecycle management, including deployment, versioning, and documentation.

Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for gateway deployments, as required.
