Seeking an experienced Lead Product Designer to provide senior-level product design leadership across KFC digital experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Lead experience design for complex features, journeys, and product initiatives across app, web, kiosk, loyalty, and related digital touchpoints.
- Translate customer needs, business objectives, research, and technical constraints into clear experience direction and executable designs.
- Own work from problem framing through user flows, interaction design, prototyping, validation, detailed design, and implementation.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to influence requirements, priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery decisions.
- Use research, analytics, usability testing, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and validate solutions.
- Apply and evolve design-system patterns while ensuring accessible, consistent, high-quality experiences.
- Lead design critiques and cross-functional working sessions, clearly communicating design rationale and recommendations.
- Provide design QA and partner with Engineering through implementation to ensure experience quality.
- Mentor and provide design direction to other designers when appropriate, without formal people-management responsibility.
Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading product design for complex digital products or connected customer journeys.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, systems thinking, visual execution, and measurable outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and design systems.
- Experience independently navigating ambiguity and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong understanding of customer research and data-informed product design.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with restaurant, retail, commerce, loyalty, marketplace, or similarly complex consumer experiences preferred.
Level Expectation
This is a lead-level individual contributor engagement. The contractor is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, own significant bodies of design work, provide senior design judgment, influence product direction, and raise the quality of work across the team. This is not a junior production design or web-development role.
