Summary

Infrastructure Engineer

The company is located in Herndon, VA and will be a hybrid model of 2 days onsite a week.

What You Will Be Doing:
As a key member of our DevOps team, you will:

Support on-site commissioning teams by troubleshooting network and server issues to ensure timely, successful project delivery.
Manage and scale lab infrastructure-switches, firewalls, and Linux servers-to optimize performance for internal development teams.
Train field and commissioning teams on standardized solutions to promote autonomy and consistency.
Collaborate directly with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and resolve technical challenges.
Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure site-to-cloud network architectures.
Create detailed network design documentation, diagrams, and user guides to support future engineering and maintenance efforts.
Provide operational support, contribute to roadmap planning, and assist with new feature evaluations.
Participate in security hardening and compliance initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments.
Recommend product and feature improvements based on field performance and customer feedback.
Support ongoing management of the company's cloud-based network environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
7+ years of experience in industrial or OT networking; background in the power or energy sector strongly preferred.
5+ years of Linux system administration and virtualization experience (VMs or containers).
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and hands-on experience configuring switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
