Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with 5+ years of experience in power electronics, with preference for candidates with deeper industry experience. This role focuses on analog and digital circuit design for high-power AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion products and subsystems.

The engineer will support the development, testing, integration, and manufacturing of high-reliability power systems used in demanding applications, including defense, radar, directed energy, and vehicle electrification.

• Design and develop high-power AC-DC and DC-DC converters, power supplies, and related circuitry.
• Perform analog and digital circuit design, simulation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes through testing, characterization, and qualifications.
• Conduct circuit analysis, modeling, trade studies, and system-level integration.
• Create and maintain schematics, specifications, test documentation, and engineering reports.
• Work directly with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and meet requirements.
• Support manufacturing with design improvements, troubleshooting, and production issues.
• Contribute to proposals, new product development, and sustaining engineering activities.
• Consider reliability, manufacturability, cost, performance, and environmental requirements throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience designing power electronics or power conversion products; more experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with DC-DC, AC-DC, inverter, or similar power conversion technologies.
• Strong analog circuit design experience; digital design experience is also desired.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience working with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• U.S. citizenship required due to access to controlled technical information.

Preferred

• High-power electronics or vehicle electrification experience.
• System-level understanding of how power electronics integrate with customer products.
• Experience with defense, aerospace, automotive, or other demanding applications.
• Experience with digital control of DC-DC power converters.
• Familiarity with TI development tools and power electronics design platforms.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
• Experience with manufacturing, qualification, and reliability requirements.
