We are seeking a strong SeniorDevSecOps Engineer to support our DoD customer for an emerging DevSecOps program. This is an exciting new initiative leveraging industry best practices and open-source software such as Kubernetes and containers, as well as commercial solutions. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.

Position Description (what you will do)

  • Design, build, and run elastic, cost-effective, resilient, robust, and secure architectures in the cloud using modern approaches like service-mesh and loosely coupled design
  • Manages different Kubernetes providers (Amazon EKS and Fargate, Azure KS and Google KE) or run your own
  • Design and implement Network connectivity, Provisioning Strategy Assess and Design RBAC needs to Ensure Cloud foundation is strong and with needed compliance requirements
  • Maintains, configures, and monitors containers using Infrastructure as Code principles in Development, Test, and Live environments
  • Design containerized solutions for relational/non-relational databases, data auditing, caching, and performance
  • Work with other Architects on Security, Data protection, and Failover Failback strategies
  • Implement Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment using different CI/CD tools by container registries

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience utilizing DevSecOps tools and methodologies
  • Expert level knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio, and Helm - GitOps and Continuous Deployment in hybrid environments
  • 3+ years of experience working in Agile Teams
  • Experience using Custom Kubernetes Operators and Helm charts
  • Experience using Custom Admission Controller
  • Experience with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and Custom Controllers
  • 3+ years of experience providing technical guidance to other engineers
  • At least 3 years of experience with packaging and securing applications as containers and working in Kubernetes
  • Security and compliance experience for Kubernetes
  • Experience in Technical Customer Service, Customer Management, and experience in escalations may be required
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Shall create and maintain documentation for implementations

Desired:

  • Preferred: Privileged User Certification: DoD 8570.01-M, IASAE Level II
  • Experience with the following platforms and languages: Atlassian suite, GitLab, Python, Bash/Shell, Golang, JavaScript/Typescript, Java, C/C++, or SQL
  • Active Security Clearance
