MQ Exits Developers

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a MQ Exits Developers in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain and enhance IBM MQ channel, API, and message exits using C
* Develop thread-safe, high-performance exit code for multi-threaded MQ environments
* Integrate MQ exits with external systems
* Provide L3 production support for MQ exit-related issues
* Partner with platform and application teams to modernize and simplify exit usage
* Evaluate native MQ capabilities to reduce reliance on custom exits
* Support migration and transformation initiatives within MQ environments
* Maintain design documentation, coding standards, and operational runbooks
* Manage full lifecycle of exit code

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong C programming experience, including low-level/system development
* Hands-on experience with IBM MQ exits
* Deep understanding of IBM MQ internals and messaging architecture
* Experience building thread-safe, high-performance applications
* Knowledge of authentication/authorization and security integrations
* Experience integrating with APIs and distributed systems environments
* Strong troubleshooting skills in production MQ environments (L3 support)
* Familiarity with modernization, migration, and legacy system refactoring
* Experience with documentation, code governance, and release management practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
