Placement Role: Java Developer with DevOps exp (W 2 / 10 99)
Financial Client
Location: Austin TX (Hybrid 2-3 Days/Week) 12 + Months
This role is in Austin, Texas. As long as the candidates are open to relocate, we are okay to talk to them. This is a 3 days/2-day hybrid role.
We re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in complex environments, loves solving hard problems, and cares deeply about quality, performance, and reliability.
What You ll Be Working On
- Designing and building scalable web applications, including consumer-facing platforms
- Developing high-throughput REST APIs using Java and Spring Cloud (or similar gateways)
- Building and maintaining secure, cloud-native services that handle thousands of transactions per second with 99.999% availability
- Collaborating across teams to integrate with internal and external systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in high-pressure, time-critical situations
Required Technical Skills
Languages & Frameworks
- Strong experience with Java
- Strong experience with JavaScript and modern frameworks
Angular
Development
- Web application development experience (consumer-facing preferred)
- Strong expertise in REST API design
- Experience with Spring Cloud or similar gateway technologies
- Solid experience with test automation frameworks such as:
- JUnit, Karma, Cucumber, Ruby, Java BDD
- Accessibility testing frameworks
- Database experience with MongoDB
PostgreSQL preferred
Operational & DevOps Skills
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and log analysis
- Preferred: Splunk, BigQuery, Grafana
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Preferred: GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Sonar, BlackDuck, Veracode
- Experience with containerized deployments
- Preferred: Deployments on AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Nice to have: Performance testing and engineering experience
Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, SAML)
- Experience building identity and authentication solutions used by other applications
- Nice to have: Familiarity with NIST Identity Standards
