Summary

Summary

Are you a systems-minded builder who loves turning messy, high-stakes flows into simple, trustworthy experiences? Topstep is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own our Payments & Wallet domain the engine behind funding, balances, and payouts. You'll connect customer needs with business outcomes, align partner teams on a clear roadmap, and ship improvements that measurably raise conversion, reliability, and expand access.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep product judgment with strong execution instincts, and who's ready to step into a position of broad influence across teams and functions. You'll shape how we think about the future of our platform and help build the connective tissue that turns vision into reality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Payments & Wallet roadmap: checkout/funding, stored balances, transfers, refunds, chargebacks, payouts, and fees/taxes, crypto, and other new payment methods, across web and internal tooling.
  • Define clear problem statements and PRDs tied to user and business goals; translate vision into requirements for complex, cross-team releases.
  • Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Design, Data, Finance, Support, and Risk to ship reliable, compliant solutions on time.
  • Optimize the funnel with experiments and instrumentation improving auth rates, payment success, wallet adoption, and payout speed/cost.
  • Manage vendors & integrations (e.g., PSPs, ACH, KYC/KYB, risk/fraud, wallets/ledgers) and keep us current with capabilities and contracts.
  • Establish the metrics that matter and regularly report performance; quantify feature ROI and inform resourcing trade-offs.
  • Align stakeholders on the roadmap and maintain crisp communication on scope, status, and decisions, driving value for our payment eco-system.
  • Safeguard trust & compliance in partnership with Risk/Legal/Finance (PCI, ACH rules, OFAC screening, disputes & reconciliation).

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
  • 5-8 years in Product Management, with material ownership of a payments, wallet, checkout, or other transactional product area.
  • Fluency in payments/wallet concepts: PSPs (e.g., Stripe/Adyen/PayPal), ACH/wires, tokenized cards, disputes/chargebacks, KYC/KYB, fraud/risk, ledgers & reconciliation.
  • Data-driven operator: Comfortable designing experiments and digging into dashboards/SQL to size opportunities and prove ROI.
  • At ease with scale - Demonstrated ability to deliver releases to high volume products where 0.1% differences have material impact.
  • Execution & coordination: Proven record aligning multiple teams and shipping complex releases without losing the thread on outcomes.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication with the ability to create structure in ambiguity and drive clear decisions.
  • Compliance mindset and experience partnering with Risk/Legal/Finance on PCI, NACHA, OFAC, and audit-friendly processes.

Company Culture & Perks
  • Topstep is an engaging working environment which ranges from fully remote to hybrid. We foster a culture of collaboration with cameras-on during meetings and a robust Slack environment for communication.
  • Seven Company-paid Holidays that are front loaded.
  • Competitive 401(k) matching, health, dental, and vision insurance is offered for full time employees.
  • Vacations are encouraged with a bonus for taking 5 consecutive days. Employee referrals are bonused. Topstep offers a food and groceries budget and contributes towards health and wellness.

Company Culture & Perks
  • $175,000 - $195,000.
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
  • The compensation offered will take into account the internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
