The Pre-silicon Compute Frameworks team is responsible for API design and development across Metal and Metal compute frameworks for upcoming hardware features in future Apple Silicon GPUs.\nAs a member of this team, you will contribute to API design, development, and performance analysis across Metal and Metal compute frameworks for future Apple Silicon GPUs. Along with API development, you will develop critical compute and ML use cases to showcase new features.\nYou will partner with other leaders across Apple software and hardware organizations to propose, develop, and evaluate hardware features for new silicon generations from emulation through silicon.\n
BS/MS/PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or related field with 5 years experience.\nStrong grasp and practical experience with at least one GPU compute APIs (Metal, CUDA, OpenCL, etc.)\nGood understanding of machine learning fundamentals and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, CoreML)\nKnowledge of Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and CPU/GPU programming\nStrong background in C/C++ programming\n\n
Experience collaborating in large cross functional projects\nFamiliarity with Apple framework and API design patterns\nHands on experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, CoreML)\n
