Role Overview
As a SOC Operator, you are the command center behind our security operations protecting people, assets, and critical infrastructure around the clock. Working within a 24/7 fixed-shift model, you will monitor advanced security systems, respond decisively to incidents, and serve as the first point of contact during emergency and non-emergency security events. Your vigilance and judgment will help ensure safety, compliance, and operational continuity across all secured sites.

What You'll Do

• Continuously monitor intrusion detection and access control systems, swiftly identifying and resolving potential threats
• Assess, prioritize, and respond to incoming emergency and routine security calls with precision and professionalism
• Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders during security incidents
• Manage substation access by logging personnel entry and exit and overseeing disarm events
• Document incidents thoroughly by preparing accurate security reports, notifications, and shift activity logs
• Detect system issues, initiate service requests for repairs, and verify corrective maintenance actions
• Conduct scheduled system health checks, video tours, and validation activities
• Support forensic investigations by reviewing video footage and access control records
• Execute role-specific actions in line with SOC policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
• Complete administrative and ESOC-related tasks to support seamless SOC operations

Key Accountabilities

• Intrusion alarm monitoring and remediation
• Call triage and incident response coordination
• Access control and entry/exit event management
• Incident reporting and documentation
• Security system maintenance coordination and validation
• Video monitoring, forensic analysis, and compliance documentation

What You Bring
Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven capability to produce clear, professional business documentation
• Calm, decisive judgment under high-pressure situations involving life safety and security

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on experience with systems such as CCure 9000E, ExacqVision, Andover Continuum, Pelco Control Point, Compass, DMP, D3, JIRA, PassagePoint, Alert, Microsoft Office Suite, and other CSOC technologies

Operational & Regulatory Knowledge

• Solid understanding of organizational structures, CSOC and CISS policies, NERC CIP requirements, and substation operations

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree required, or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years' experience in security systems or IT

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $27.00 - $29.42 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
