Summary

Role: Mainframe Storage Administrator

Location :Bentonville, AR(Remote)

Duration: Contract

Job description

Manage storage pools: add volumes, cleanup, reclaim unused volumes.
Support space allocation recommendations and usage optimization.
Administer and maintain IBM DS8K storage systems.
Support multiple large-scale parallel sysplex environments with data sharing.
Perform system initialization, performance tuning, and subsystem optimization.
Support virtual tape operations (experience with Luminex preferred).
Work with DFHSM for hierarchical storage management.
Utilize FDR and MVSRM for backup/recovery and storage resource management.
Support IBM GDPS environments (Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, Metro-Global, Hyperswap).
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
Maintain disaster recovery readiness
