Volt is immediately hiring for Principal Integration and Test Engineer in Aurora, CO.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Principal Integration and Test Engineer to join our team and support the development of advanced satellite ground system technologies in a collaborative, Agile environment. This role involves working across systems integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure high?quality, mission?critical software and hardware products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile product teams to deliver high?value engineering solutions aligned with program objectives.
- Maintain a systems-level perspective to ensure operational goals remain central throughout development.
- Perform integration and regression testing activities within an Agile framework, including participating in customer demonstrations at the end of each sprint.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during system integration across software and hardware components.
- Develop, review, and execute integration and test plans, procedures, and test environments.
- Conduct debugging and analysis to validate system functionality and interface performance.
- Work within a secure, controlled laboratory environment as required by the program.
This is 12 months Full- time- contract with possible hire opportunity.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in systems integration and testing for software-intensive products within Agile and CI/CD environments.
- Hands-on experience with regression testing, test scripting, and/or test automation tools.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex, software?based systems.
- Ability to work in a secure environment; must meet eligibility requirements for U.S. government security clearance (if applicable to employer/program).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting satellite ground system development or operations.
- Experience collaborating with customers, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering methodologies.
- Experience with Agile lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Beehave, Gherkin, Zephyr).
- Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, Matlab, Rust, and familiarity with Linux-based systems.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS certification is a plus)
Familiarity with satellite and ground station domains such as:
- Data networking
- Command and telemetry
- Launch operations
- Flight dynamics
- Mission planning
- On?orbit operations
Pay Range: $55.00 - $ 63.00 per hour.
