Citrix Senior Architect

< style=""font-style:">We are seeking a Citrix Senior Architect with expertise comparable to Citrix Professional
Services to design, implement, and optimize a best-in-class Citrix VDI and end-user
computing (EUC) platform. This role will own not only the architecture and delivery of the
Citrix environment, but also the proactive monitoring and experience management
strategy, ensuring user issues are identified and addressed before they are reported.
The architect will define and implement experience-focused monitoring, analytics, and
XLA-driven metrics to continuously improve platform reliability and end-user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Delivery
??? Lead end-to-end Citrix VDI architecture design and implementation
??? Assess current-state environments and define a scalable, resilient target architecture
??? Design for high availability, performance, security, and future growth
??? Provide hands-on architectural guidance during build, optimization, and stabilization
phases
End-User Experience & Proactive Monitoring
??? Design and implement a proactive monitoring strategy for the Citrix platform
??? Identify and address user experience issues before they are reported to Service
Desk
??? Define end-user experience metrics, success criteria, and experience thresholds
??? Establish Experience Level Agreements (XLAs) aligned to business outcomes
??? Analyze login performance, session reliability, latency, and resource contention
trends
Tooling & Observability Strategy
??? Evaluate existing monitoring and analytics capabilities
??? Implement or recommend best-in-class EUC and experience monitoring tools
??? Ensure visibility across:
??? User sessions
??? Logon times
??? Application performance
??? Infrastructure health
??? Integrate experience metrics into operational dashboards and reporting
Capacity, Lifecycle & Sustainability
??? Lead capacity planning, sizing, and growth forecasting
??? Define platform lifecycle, upgrade, and technical debt remediation strategies
??? Ensure alignment with vendor support timelines and enterprise standards
Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
??? Partner with infrastructure, network, security, and operations teams
??? Provide executive-ready insights and recommendations
??? Deliver architecture documentation, operational guidance, and knowledge transfer
Required Expertise
??? Senior-level experience with Citrix DaaS / CVAD, VDAs, StoreFront, and NetScaler
(Gateway)
??? Proven experience designing enterprise-scale, highly available Citrix
environments
??? Strong expertise in end-user experience monitoring and analytics
??? Hands-on experience with proactive monitoring and observability solutions
??? Ability to define and operationalize XLAs and experience-driven KPIs
??? Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization skills
??? Ability to operate independently at Senior Architect / Principal level
