Job Description

We are seeking an IT Program Manager III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in end-to-end program and project delivery across people, process, and technology and a proven ability to govern budgets, manage risk, and deliver complex solutions on time with quality.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the single point of accountability for end-to-end delivery of initiatives typically ranging from $1MM to $5MM.


• Own project governance, forecasting, and financial management with budget oversight to a +/-1% variance across multiple service providers.


• Lead project workgroup meetings and provide concise status communications to stakeholders and senior business partners.


• Ensure on-time delivery of all milestones and adherence to defined quality standards.


• Maintain accurate systems of record and enforce enterprise change and delivery standards.


• Drive focus on Minimum Viable Product, manage scope rigorously, and escalate change control or deferrals as needed.


• Identify, escalate, and resolve key risks to enable successful and timely delivery.


• Apply disciplined upfront planning for predictable execution and to minimize unexpected challenges.


• Measure, track, and validate outcomes to confirm all project objectives are achieved.


• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project or Program Manager delivering complex, end-to-end technology solutions.


• Demonstrated leadership of large initiatives across people, process, and technology with timely, high-quality outcomes.


• Strong financial acumen with ownership of $1MM-$5MM budgets, monthly forecasting, and financial reporting.


• Ability to engage, influence, and communicate with senior Technology and Line of Business stakeholders.


• Deep familiarity with project management tools, governance frameworks, and enterprise change management standards, preferably within Bank of America Global Technology.


• Accountability for governance adherence and accurate updates to project and financial systems of record.


• Self-starter who operates independently, owns deliverables, and drives completion in a matrixed environment.


• Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams and service providers.

Preferred Skills:

• High-performing project delivery experience within Bank of America Global Technology.


• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.


• PMP certification or equivalent.
