Summary

Job Summary:
The University Budget Office is seeking a skilled Budget Analyst to support both traditional budgetary functions and the transition to the new financial system, work. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, technical proficiency, and a commitment to enhancing the financial operations of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of the university's budget.
Support the implementation and integration of the client financial system.
Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to inform decision-making.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate budget forecasting and allocation.
Provide technical support and training related to the new financial system.
Identify and resolve budget discrepancies and variances.
Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure the financial integrity of various budgets and financial data.
Assist with various revenue and expense projections analysis.
Maintenance of various datasets for expenses, revenue, staffing, enrollment, and other indicators.
Assist with special and ad hoc reports and analyses, as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in budgeting or financial analysis.
Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in financial software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial system transitions or implementations.
Knowledge of higher education budgeting processes.
