Job Title: Reports Developer – Integrated Eligibility Systems
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)/ Lake Mary, FL (4 month project)
Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
W2 Hourly Rate: $35-$40/hour

Overview:
We are seeking a Reports Developer – Integrated Eligibility Systems who will support our NYS client.
This role supports reporting and analytics for Non-MAGI Medicaid, Medicare Savings Program (MSP), and Integrated Eligibility systems, including federal, state, and program-level reporting. The consultant will develop complex SQL, reporting solutions, and dashboards; validate reporting accuracy and compliance; and lead coordination across business, policy, QA, and development teams. The engagement is hybrid and includes a four-month project assignment in Lake Mary, Florida, with a 4–6 week relocation window after project start.
Duties:
- Write, tune, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries against eligibility, benefits, and case management data, including SNAP, TANF, and Childcare data.
- Design, develop, and maintain operational, compliance, and federal/state reports for Integrated Eligibility programs.
- Translate business and policy requirements into technical report specifications in coordination with program, policy, and QA teams.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations to support caseworker, program manager, and executive reporting needs.
- Validate report outputs against source systems and business rules to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Optimize report and query performance through indexing, query tuning, and data model recommendations.
- Support UAT and defect triage for reporting deliverables, document issues, and coordinate fixes with the development team.
- Maintain report documentation, data dictionaries, and mappings of eligibility rules to reporting logic.
- Mentor junior report developers and analysts, review SQL and report designs, and help lead reporting workstream priorities, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Reports Developer with direct experience supporting Non-MAGI Medicaid, Medicare Savings Program (MSP), and Integrated Eligibility systems.
- 2–5 years of Java experience.
- 2–5 years of SQL experience, with strong hands-on ability to write, tune, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- 2–5 years of Java Spring experience.
- Solid understanding of Integrated Eligibility systems.
- Ability to lead a reporting workstream, including managing priorities, timelines, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Tableau development experience, including dashboard design, calculated fields, data blending, publishing, and administration.
- Experience reporting from Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar enterprise data platforms.
- Familiarity with federal reporting requirements.
- Exposure to ETL and data pipeline tools supporting reporting data marts.
