Responsibilities
Role & Profile Management: Design and maintain User Profiles (P0092) and User Roles, including environment assignments and display preferences.
Security Configuration: Manage object security via the Security Workbench (P00950), covering application, action, row, column, and UDO security.
ALLOut Toolset Administration: Utilize the ALLOut Security suite to streamline bulk security changes and automate multi-role conflict resolution.
Compliance & Audit: Monitor Segregation of Duties (SoD) and perform risk analysis to identify and mitigate unauthorized access or process conflicts.
Process-Based Security: Implement a Closed (Deny All) security model where access is granted based on specific business processes rather than individual user needs.
ALLOut Security +7 JDE Security Hierarchy & Profiles JDE follows a specific search sequence to determine access: *User > Role > PUBLIC.
ALLOut Security +1 User Profiles (P0092): The highest priority level; defines an individual''s specific ID, default environment, and language.
Role Profiles: Groups users by job function (e.g., AP Clerk) to apply security collectively.
Role Sequencing: When a user has multiple roles, JDE uses a role sequencer (highest number takes precedence) to resolve access conflicts.
PUBLIC: A special ID that applies to all users if no specific user or role record exists.
ALLOut Security Tool Expertise Proficiency in the ALLOut Security toolset allows for automation that standard JDE lacks: ProfilePlus: Simplifies user provisioning and role maintenance with automated one-click setups.
SecurityPlus: Enables bulk security modifications and the ability to view/change all security types in a single grid.
CombiRoles: Resolves JDE''s standard 30-role limit and automatically merges row security from multiple roles a feature not available in native JDE.
SoDMaster: Uses out-of-the-box templates to detect and manage Segregation of Duties risks.
MenuPlus: Automates menu-filtering (FineCut) and navigation security, ensuring users only see what they are authorized to use
