Role Overview
As a Senior Staff System Integration/Test Engineer on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program, you will help design and execute tests that ensure missile defense systems perform reliably. Your work will directly support the integration of advanced technologies and the development of solutions that protect people and nations from emerging missile threats.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Support subcontractors in developing compliant test plans, procedures, and reports.
Lead working groups and collaborate with customer representatives and Lockheed Martin subject matter experts across disciplines within NGI.
Contribute to major program reviews at the unit and subsystem level, including QRB, CDR, and TRR.
Mentor junior engineers in environmental testing principles.
Translate customer requirements into practical system test solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Work Environment
You will be part of a collaborative, fast-paced engineering team focused on innovation and problem-solving. The role involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams, customer representatives, and subcontractors. Some domestic travel may be required. Work is primarily office- and lab-based, with opportunities to engage directly in testing environments.

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements to be considered:
Subject matter expertise in environmental testing, including requirements allocation, test planning, procedure development, test execution, anomaly resolution, data analysis, and report preparation.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Willingness and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Desired skills
The following skills are not required but strengthen a candidate's qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM discipline, or equivalent experience and education.
Experience with unit/subsystem environmental testing and requirements verification.
Experience with Automation Framework (AF) document generation, review, and execution.
Certified Test Conductor (CTC).
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply standards such as SMC-S-016, AIAA S-080, AIAA S-081, AIAA S-110, AIAA S-113, and AIAA S-114.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
