Summary
Job Title: Physical Design Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12+ Months with possible extension
Job Description:
Responsible for end-to-end digital physical design from RTL to GDSII using tools like Cadence Innovus, Cadence Tempus, and Synopsys Design Compiler.
Perform floor planning, power planning, and integration of digital blocks with analog and quantum chip components.
Ensure design verification and signoff through DRC, LVS, and timing closure before tapeout (RIT).
Work closely with researchers, circuit designers, and cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and optimize flows.
Use Linux and scripting (Python/Tcl) to automate processes and improve physical design methodologies.
Troubleshoot tool/environment issues and support high-quality chip design delivery for advanced quantum technologies.
Experience Required:
5+ years in Physical Design
Strong knowledge of Cadence & Synopsys tools, DRC/LVS, Linux, and scripting.
