Physical Design Engineer

Job Title: Physical Design Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12+ Months with possible extension
Job Description:

• Responsible for end-to-end digital physical design from RTL to GDSII using tools like Cadence Innovus, Cadence Tempus, and Synopsys Design Compiler.

• Perform floor planning, power planning, and integration of digital blocks with analog and quantum chip components.

• Ensure design verification and signoff through DRC, LVS, and timing closure before tapeout (RIT).

• Work closely with researchers, circuit designers, and cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and optimize flows.

• Use Linux and scripting (Python/Tcl) to automate processes and improve physical design methodologies.

• Troubleshoot tool/environment issues and support high-quality chip design delivery for advanced quantum technologies.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years in Physical Design

• Strong knowledge of Cadence & Synopsys tools, DRC/LVS, Linux, and scripting.
