Description
Looking for a hands-on, technically strong Workday HRIS professional with deep Workday Benefits expertise. This role is an individual contributor, not a people manager or purely strategic leader. The ideal candidate sits between HR strategy and technical configuration-but leans strongly technical. This person will serve as a primary owner of Workday Benefits configuration, supporting open enrollment, ongoing benefits administration, eligibility rules, and vendor integrations, while also contributing across core HCM and Recruiting modules. The role plays a key part in stabilizing and enhancing there newly independent Workday tenant.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across HR, IT, and the business.
- Deep knowledge of Workday HCM configuration, security, and reporting.
- 3+ years of experience overseeing the Workday platform as system administrator, including managing security, releases, integrations, and system performance.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Workday HCM modules (e.g., Core HCM, Payroll, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, and/or Performance), with strong knowledge of business process design, condition rules, calculated fields, and reporting.

- Familiarity with compensation planning, performance enablement, and benefit file management in Workday.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as the strategic owner for Workday and other HR platforms (e.g., Absorb Learning, recognition, engagement tools), ensuring alignment with evolving business objectives, HR strategies, and industry best practice
- Configure and support annual HR processes within Workday-such as performance reviews, merit and bonus cycles, and benefits open enrollment-ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless user experience.
- Lead the development and delivery of Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics, translating data into actionable insights for HR and business leaders.
- Provide functional oversight of integrations connecting Workday, Absorb, and other third-party vendors (e.g., benefits, payroll, timekeeping, learning), in close partnership with IT.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $136000.00 - $154000.00/yr.
