Summary

Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a financial institution in Albuquerque, New Mexico in an onsite contract role with the potential to become permanent. This position focuses on turning operational and member data into clear insights that support better decisions across the department. The ideal candidate will partner with business stakeholders to identify needs, improve reporting, and build dashboards that help leaders monitor performance and uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Examine current workflows and identify opportunities to simplify processes, shorten turnaround times, and improve the overall member experience.

Partner with department leaders and stakeholders to gather business needs, define reporting requirements, and support effective communication across teams.

Design, build, and maintain departmental dashboards and reporting tools that present complex information in a clear, actionable format.

Translate data findings into practical recommendations that help leadership make informed operational and strategic decisions.

Review existing procedures, job aids, and knowledge base content, updating documentation to improve accuracy, usability, and consistency for retail staff.

Analyze member activity, behavior patterns, and performance trends to reveal opportunities for stronger engagement, loyalty, and revenue improvement.

Load and organize data within dashboards, reporting platforms, and prebuilt analytical workbooks to ensure reliable and timely access to information.

Present trend analysis and key insights to relevant teams, highlighting risks, opportunities, and areas for process enhancement.

Support additional analytical and reporting assignments as business needs evolve.

Requirements

The successful Data Analyst will have:

At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, process improvement, product analysis, or a closely related field.

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, information technology, or a related discipline; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Strong SQL experience and Hands-on experience with data visualization and reporting platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.

Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, lookup functions, and chart development.

Working knowledge of analytical or programming tools such as Python or R.

Familiarity with digital analytics platforms, including GA4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and social media reporting tools.

Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to turn data into business-focused recommendations.

High attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment.
