RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce healthcare client in Irvine, CA is currently looking for a Workday Solution Architect that is fully onsite. The candidate must work PST hours.
Summary:
The Workday Solution Architect is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and sustainable Workday solutions across Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation. This individual will partner with functional and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Workday configurations, reporting solutions, security models, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Design and configure Workday business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, and security frameworks
* Build and optimize advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and data solutions
* Develop and support integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday APIs (SOAP/REST)
* Design API-based integrations utilizing OAuth 2.0, SAML, XML, and XSLT
* Provide architectural guidance and governance across Workday modules and integrations
* Troubleshoot complex configuration, reporting, and integration issues
* Conduct impact assessments and validation activities for Workday bi-annual releases
* Define and enforce best practices, standards, and solution design consistency across the Workday ecosystem
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 7+ years of hands-on Workday experience with expertise across Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation
* Strong experience translating functional requirements into Workday configuration and technical solutions
* Experience establishing architecture governance, standards, and design review processes
* Proven success designing enterprise integration solutions across multiple platforms
Advanced knowledge of:
* Workday Business Processes
* Calculated Fields
* Reporting and Dashboards
* Security Configuration
* EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio
* Workday APIs (SOAP/REST)
* XML, XSLT
* OAuth 2.0 and SAML
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or Integration Architecture certifications
* Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Snowflake, AWS, Epic, or MuleSoft
* Experience with event-driven architecture and streaming technologies
* Cloud architecture experience, including containerization, serverless technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines
* Background in healthcare or other highly regulated environments
* Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations, RAG architectures, or intelligent workflow automation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
