Location: Onsite in Newark, NJ
Contract: 12+ Months Contract
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a global financial services environment. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, with a strong focus on data provisioning, production support, and Agile delivery.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of financial data products (requirements → production support)
- Lead investigation & resolution of production data issues (RCA, remediation, prevention)
- Act as primary Technical BSA for BAU data operations
- Support Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, user stories, UAT readiness)
- Ensure data accuracy, traceability, auditability & operational resilience
- Drive continuous improvement in BAU processes, controls, and documentation
🧠 Required Experience:
- Strong domain experience in Investment / Asset Management / Capital Markets
- Hands-on support of trading, risk, operations, or regulatory data platforms
- Experience with portfolio/investment management systems
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills in complex data environments
- Excellent communication with both technical & business stakeholders
💻 Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL expertise (complex queries, debugging, optimization)
- Experience with SQL Server / relational databases
- Strong understanding of:
- Data modeling & transformations
- Source-to-target mapping
- Data quality & reconciliation
- Historical vs “as-of” data
- Knowledge of data flows, integrations & enterprise architecture
➕ Nice to Have:
- Data governance / process optimization experience
- Exposure to automation initiatives
- Experience in global/onsite-offshore delivery models
