Network Administrator / Network Engineer - Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a skilled Network Administrator/Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level network infrastructure across a geographically dispersed environment. This role involves hands-on work with Cisco networking devices, firewalls, VPN technologies, and NAC systems, as well as participation in upgrade projects and network optimization initiatives.
Top Required Skills1. Cisco Networking- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and managing Cisco routers and switches
- Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols in mid-to-large environments
2. Network Security Operations- Experience configuring and supporting firewalls and security appliances (ASAs or similar)
- Ability to diagnose and remediate security-related issues
3. Network Access Control (NAC)- Experience implementing and supporting NAC solutions
- Experience performing NAC platform upgrades
4. VPN Technologies- Hands-on experience with site-to-site VPN setups
- Strong understanding of VPN tunneling and secure connectivity requirements
Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills- CCNP or equivalent advanced networking certification (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with VoIP upgrades, wireless access point (WAP) deployments, and large-scale network refresh projects
Primary ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, the Network Administrator/Engineer will:
- Fulfill or resolve network requests, incidents, and trouble calls while completing all required documentation (tickets, network access requests, service requests, etc.)
- Follow established procedures, policies, and best practices
- Lead and coordinate network-related projects, including firewall updates, core routing/switching changes, protocol migrations, and security enhancements
- Partner with end users, IT teams, and vendors to resolve connectivity, performance, or capacity issues
- Support and maintain critical network systems to ensure uptime and resiliency
- Recommend and implement cost-efficient network solutions
- Perform after-hours upgrade work when needed to avoid business interruption

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.
