Network & Hosting Infrastructure Specialist

Description

We are looking for a Network & Hosting Infrastructure Specialist to support enterprise infrastructure visibility and access across network and server environments in Westerville, Ohio. This Long-term Contract position focuses on resolving credential and connectivity issues, improving discovery coverage, and helping ensure reliable data collection from a wide range of infrastructure sources. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience across network devices, server platforms, and authentication methods, along with the ability to work independently in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve authentication, credential, and access issues affecting network equipment and server infrastructure across enterprise environments.
Maintain and verify access methods for hosting and network platforms to support thorough and reliable infrastructure discovery activities.
Analyze connectivity problems involving routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and server systems, and drive issues through resolution or escalation.
Partner with infrastructure teams to keep credential repositories, authentication settings, and access controls accurate and aligned with operational needs.
Configure and support service graph connectors to promote consistent and dependable flow of infrastructure data into connected platforms.
Plan, adjust, and improve discovery timing to fit maintenance windows, reduce conflicts, and maximize scan effectiveness.
Create clear technical documentation covering credential practices, recurring infrastructure issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolution approaches.
Provide technical guidance on network layouts, device configurations, and server environments to support broader infrastructure management efforts.
Contribute to ServiceNow modernization-related activities as needed, including discovery and integration support tied to infrastructure data quality.

Requirements

Strong experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Solid background administering server and hosting environments across Windows Server, Linux/Unix, VMware, and Hyper-V platforms.
Hands-on knowledge of credential management for diverse infrastructure assets and authentication models.
Deep understanding of protocols and access methods such as SNMP, SSH, Telnet, WinRM, and NetBIOS.
Proven ability to diagnose connectivity and authentication problems in large-scale enterprise environments.
Familiarity with IP address management, network segmentation, and firewall policies that affect infrastructure reachability.
Ability to work independently, prioritize issues effectively, and escalate complex problems when appropriate.
Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python or PowerShell, plus familiarity with ServiceNow discovery or related configuration management processes.
