Job Title: Control-M Developer

Experience: 8+ Years

Location: 100% Remote, USA

Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Control-M Developer responsible for designing, developing, scheduling, and maintaining batch workflows using Control-M. The role involves working closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable job automation and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain batch workflows using Control-M.
Create and manage job scheduling, calendars, conditions, and dependencies.
Monitor daily batch cycles and troubleshoot job failures.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
Work with Unix/Linux and Windows environments for script execution.
Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation workflows.
Handle file transfers (FTP/SFTP) and integrate with external systems.
Implement Control-M alerts and notifications.
Manage Control-M upgrades, patches, and migrations (if required).
Provide L2/L3 production support.
Maintain documentation and process guidelines.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Control-M (EM, Server, Agent).
Good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
Experience with job scheduling concepts and batch processing.
Understanding of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP).
Basic SQL knowledge.
Experience with application integrations (SAP, Informatica, etc. optional but preferred).

Tools & Technologies:

Control-M Enterprise Manager (EM)
Control-M/Server & Agents
Unix/Linux
Shell scripting (Bash/Korn)
SQL/Oracle/DB2 (basic)
ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Banking/Finance domain (if applicable).
Knowledge of Control-M Managed File Transfer (MFT).
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of SLA management and batch performance tuning.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work in a 24/7 production support model (if required).
Team collaboration and stakeholder management.

Certifications (Nice to Have)

Control-M Certification from BMC
ITIL Certification
