Title : Mainframe Developer (COBOL/ACH Domain)
Location : Minneapolis MN/ Charlotte NC / Dallas TX
Duration : 12+ months
Rate : $47/hr on W2
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM
· Work extensively with sequential files, batch, and online processing frameworks
· Support and enhance ACH processing systems, including client integrations such as PEP+
· Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
· Ensure complete understanding of features, impacted users, and system workflows
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner
· Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders
· Participate in agile ceremonies and follow DevOps best practices
· Contribute to modernization initiatives such as API enablement and mainframe integration
· Communicate technical processes and results clearly across teams
Must Skills:
· Strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, DB2 (SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning), JCL, VSAM
· batch and online processing systems
· algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
· troubleshoot and resolve production issues
