Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to analyze and understand existing data processes, rationalize datasets, and build operational data models. The role involves designing and building data pipelines to integrate data from systems of record to operational and analytical data stores. The candidate will also build frameworks for ETL processes related to L2 data products, collaborate with stakeholders, and perform proof of concepts for cloud platform migrations.
Responsibilities: - Analyze and understand existing data processes and rationalize datasets.
- Design and build data pipelines for operational and analytical data stores.
- Develop frameworks for ETL processes related to L2 data products (originations, servicing, hardship, capital markets, sub-domain aggregation).
- Understand and adopt the UCDP framework for building data pipelines.
- Collaborate with product owners, L1 team members, reporting teams, and LOB stakeholders from requirements through deployment.
- Follow SDLC processes, company standards, and governance for all work.
- Perform proof of concepts in cloud platforms to migrate workloads from on-premises to the cloud.
- Guide and collaborate with team members as needed.
- Perform proof of concepts for new cloud platforms where applicable.
Qualifications: - Proficiency in Python/Spark and data pipelining tools.
- Expertise in designing and architecting data pipelines for reporting and downstream applications using cloud and open-source software.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Expertise in cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
- Understanding of databases, Delta Lake (operational and analytical data stores), and reporting concepts for designing cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with tools like SSIS and SAS to understand code for platform migration.
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in data engineering with modern technology stacks.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of transformation processes.
- Experience in building ETL pipelines and some data modeling expertise.

Pay Range: $50 - $56
