Job Description
Required Skill & Qualifications:
Define the CMDB strategy, governance model, and data management framework for the organization.
Design the CMDB data model, including classes, relationships, and CI hierarchy aligned with ITIL/CMDB best practices.
Establish naming conventions, CI class standards, and attribute definitions.
Map relationships between applications, servers, networks, and business services
Collaborate with Change Management, Asset Management, ITSM, ITOM teams for process alignment.
Reporting and Compliance (CMDB health, CI compliance).
Be responsible for the CMDB health, including log inspection to identify and lead in remediation of missing or bad data and discovery errors.
Perform the tasks and activities of a configuration manager.
Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Configuration Item (CI), CI Lifecycle. ITIL, ITSM, CSDM, Service Model, Business Service, Technical Service
Roles & Responsibilities:
Define CMDB strategy, CI/data models, relationships, and governance aligned to ITIL/ITSM goals
Lead CMDB population via discovery, integrations, reconciliation, and data quality controls
Align CMDB with Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Management for impact & root-cause analysis
Advise stakeholders, configure CMDB tools, deliver reporting, training, and continuous improvement Ensure data consistency, security, and performance
