Project Engineer

Performs project initiation, planning, procurement, and engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Coordinating with stakeholders in the project initiation phase to identify the problem, evaluate alternative solutions, establish scope, develop an estimate, and determine the return on investment. Planning requires coordination of engineering design, material and construction specification document development, competitive procurement/bid events for equipment, materials and labor. Assess individual project needs and the project portfolio and prepare presentations and reports for management. Provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a heavy industrial construction environment. Relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under general supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. 3 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area. Requires a bachelor''s degree
