Job Title: Senior Front Office C#/.NET Developer – Equity Swaps & Derivatives Trading

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Duration: Long-Term Contract- 12 months

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front Office C#/.NET Developer to join a high-performing Capital Markets technology team supporting mission-critical Equity Swaps and Equity Derivatives Trading platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development experience in C#/.NET within an investment banking or capital markets environment, along with a solid understanding of Equity Swaps, Total Return Swaps (TRS), Synthetic Prime Brokerage, and Equities Trading. This is a front-office role requiring close collaboration with traders, quantitative teams, operations, and middle office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support front-office trading applications.

• Build scalable and high-performance trading solutions using C#/.NET.

• Support the complete Equity Swaps and Portfolio Swaps lifecycle.

• Develop solutions for Synthetic Prime Brokerage and Equity Derivatives trading.

• Collaborate directly with traders to gather requirements and implement enhancements.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support in a fast-paced trading environment.

• Participate in architecture, design, code reviews, and performance optimization.

• Integrate applications using messaging technologies and middleware.

• Work closely with middle office, operations, and risk teams.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of C#/.NET development experience.

• Experience developing applications within Capital Markets or Investment Banking.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Equity Swaps

  • Total Return Swaps (TRS)

  • Portfolio Swaps

  • Synthetic Prime Brokerage

  • Equity Trading

  • Trade Lifecycle and Lifecycle Events

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience with Visual Studio, Git/TFS, and Jira.

• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies.

• Experience with multithreaded application development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• C++ development experience.

• WPF development.

• Angular experience.

• Windows Services and Web Services.

• Experience supporting Front Office trading desks.

• Knowledge of Equity Derivatives.

• Experience with Stock Borrow/Loan.

• Experience working in high-volume, low-latency trading environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Prime Brokerage platforms.

• Knowledge of Risk Management systems.

• Experience building distributed trading applications.

• Exposure to FIX Protocol or electronic trading platforms.
