Job Title:Engineering Administrator

SummaryFairbanks Morse is looking for an Engineering Administrator to join our team. This role will primarily support on Watermakers aftermarket, including evaporators, distilling plants, Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, and related equipment, with secondary support for new products including Diesel Engines and Generator Sets. This role will interact with adjacent departments including Aftermarket Sales, Program Management, Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Engine Division Engineering team.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities- Process engineering releases and changes, including items, drawings, and bills of materials
- Primary focus on Beaird/Maxim Aftermarket.
- Secondary support for engine product lines
- Find and distribute legacy records including engineering, quality, purchasing, and sales documents
- Identify parts and suppliers
- Identify potential replacements for obsolete parts
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements- 1+ year experience in a role creating and distributing engineering documentation
- 1+ year experience in non-engineering role receiving, using, and providing feedback on engineering documentation.
- Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and bills of materials
- Understanding of engineering document release and control processes in a production environment.
- Experience with evaporative and RO watermaker products preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle and Infor Visual preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft office products including Excel & Word
- 5% travel
- This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of ship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of ship is a US Passport, US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
