Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Test & Evaluation Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the GMD Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs for the Missile Defense Agency. In this role you will be responsible for the integration and test of GMD products and be positioned to support the customer to execute critical testing in different lab environments on the System Integration Test and Readiness (SITR) contract.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience:
  • Provide Integration and Execution Support to Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs
  • Participate in integration activities and implementation of the System Under Test (SUT) to support test execution activities
  • Work with a team of engineers, system administrators, network engineer console operators, subject matter experts and subcontractors to coordinate all phases of integration, test, checkout and verification
  • Develop, review and release Test Plans and Procedures required for test execution
  • Utilize basic engineering troubleshooting skills and configuration management best practices
  • Openly communicate and collaborate across engineering and non-engineering functions
  • Development, Review, and Release of Post-Test Documentation
  • Support relevant meetings, reviews, briefings and working groups
  • Work in a rapid-paced team environment

Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications:
  • Understanding of test requirements and test objectives
  • Experience integrating multiple complex components into a system-level architecture.
  • Experience documenting and trouble-shooting hardware and/or software anomalies.
  • Experience developing and/or executing test procedures for critical software and hardware testing
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires ship as a condition of employment

This position requires the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program experience
  • System of systems integration experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to review performance, identify root cause, and recommend solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other software schedule experience
  • Experience operating in both Windows and Linux based environments.
  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT level 2 certification requirements (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or higher-level certification)

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Level 2: $70,000 - $100,000
