Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Delivery Module Lead in the Software Development domain, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform Data Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading software development projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement data engineering best practices.
  • Utilize Google Cloud Platform tools and services to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing frameworks.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability in data processing.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development and data engineering.

Mandatory Skills:

  • At least 5+ years of experience as a cloud data engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform data services including Dataflow, BigQuery, Dataproc and Cloud Storage (GCS).
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying batch and real-time data pipelines using Dataflow (with Beam/Python/Spark skills).
  • Experience in ingesting batch data / messages / streaming data and associated technology stack such as Google Cloud Platform PubSub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
  • Experience in building data marts in BigQuery and writing efficient SQL / stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery ML and Gemini features within BigQuery highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Google Cloud Platform or data engineering are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
