Summary

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise unified communications and collaboration platforms (voice, video, messaging, meetings, and conferencing) aligned to business, regulatory, and operational requirements. Identify opportunities to improve resiliency, performance, and user experience.
  • Provide senior-level support for mission-critical communication services, troubleshooting complex issues across endpoints, identity, networking, security, and cloud environments. Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
  • Define and enforce platform architecture and technical standards. Influence cross-functional design decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise controls (e.g., firewall/proxy rules, QoS, certificates/TLS, conditional access, logging, and monitoring).
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of platform initiatives, including requirements gathering, solution design, pilot execution, production rollout, and operational transition. Manage change control processes and provide post-deployment support.
  • Evaluate vendor platforms, features, and roadmaps with a focus on security, compliance, scalability, availability, and user experience. Recommend and drive adoption of strategic technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks, governance standards, and incident/problem management procedures. Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical escalation point.
  • Perform systems analysis, including requirements definition and logical/physical design. Ensure solutions meet enterprise risk, compliance, and availability standards.
  • Support ongoing system administration and participate in cross-functional initiatives and special projects to enhance collaboration services and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or similar technical role
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong experience in unified communications, collaboration engineering, or related enterprise infrastructure roles with ownership of production platforms
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Google Workspace, or similar UC technologies (voice, video, meetings, messaging)
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive engineering decisions across teams
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities across endpoints, identity, networking, security, and cloud services, including incident response and root cause analysis
  • Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including DNS/DHCP, routing, firewalls/proxies, VPN, QoS, certificates/TLS, SSO/MFA, and conditional access
  • Experience leading complex implementations and service improvements using structured change, incident, and problem management practices
  • Proven ability to support highly available, production-grade services in regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders and create clear documentation
