Job Summary
We are seeking a highly technical, Apex-centric Salesforce Developer to design and build complex, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Apex and platform architecture, along with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will also act as a backup/stand-in for the hiring manager, providing technical guidance, ownership of design decisions, and leadership when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development & Architecture
Design and develop advanced Salesforce solutions using Apex, triggers, asynchronous processing (Batch, Queueable, Future), and SOQL
Build and optimize Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Lightning-based user experiences
Design scalable solutions that align with Salesforce governor limits and best practices
Lead complex integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware
Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and deployment best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority production issues
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as technical lead and backup for the hiring manager when required
Translate business requirements into technical designs and explain solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Partner with product owners, admins, and business teams to influence solution design
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and admins
Participate in roadmap discussions and architectural decision-making
Platform Governance & Delivery
Enforce Salesforce development standards, security, and data integrity
Support release management, CI/CD pipelines, and environment strategy
Document technical designs, decisions, and development patterns
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
Expert-level proficiency in Apex (classes, triggers, async processing)
Strong experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Deep understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
Proven ability to lead technically and own complex implementations
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience working in enterprise-scale Salesforce environments
Experience with Salesforce CPQ and/or Revenue Cloud
Prior experience acting as a Tech Lead or Lead Developer
Experience with CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows)
Salesforce Certifications (Platform Developer II preferred).
