Required Skills

Solid experience with relational databases and SQL (Postgres preferred)
Experience with messaging systems (Kafka or similar)
Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
8+ years of software engineering experience
Experience working in agile development environments

Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse systems
Prior experience in Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) environments

Job Duties
Build and enhance backend services supporting warehouse operational planning, productivity, visibility, and productivity systems
Develop complex RESTful services with significant distributed system dependencies, providing low-latency responses to the presentation layer
Design and implement APIs for internal systems, working closely with data providers and presentation layer partners
Work with relational databases to manage operational data, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
Break down requirements into implementable tasks and deliver within sprint timelines
Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing and automation

Typical Day
Writing and maintaining Kotlin-based backend services
Designing and consuming APIs across distributed systems
Working with Kafka to process and stream data
Writing and optimizing SQL queries for operational reporting
Participating in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews)
Debugging and resolving performance or data issues
