SAP MM and MDG Consultant

• SAP MM configuration

• Experience with Mass Loads is a must.
• Familiarity with use of Fiori applications in Master Data Governance
• Experience preparing user training documents and conducting user training sessions
• Hands on experience using the system on daily basis, troubleshooting issues

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SAP MM configuration skills and experience supporting master data management activities, especially around Material Master, data migration, reconciliation, and mass uploads. Exposure to SAP MDG including workflows, validations, and UI customization is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on SAP MM configuration including:
  • Plants, Storage Locations
  • Procurement processes (including Stock Transport Orders)
  • Inventory Management
  • Logistics processes
• Work extensively with Material Master views and ensure data quality and business alignment.
• Support cutover, go-live, and hyper-care activities for SAP MM-related projects.
• Lead and execute data activities, including:
  • Data extraction, cleansing, mapping, migration, reconciliation
  • Mass loads / bulk upload processing (mandatory)
• Troubleshoot and support IDOC/EDI mapping issues (especially MATMAS, CLFMAS).
• Set up and monitor batch jobs and troubleshoot failures.
• Create functional and technical specifications for enhancements and development needs.
• Work closely with BI and ABAP teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements related to SAP MM and master data.
• Ensure data integrity and reconciliation throughout extraction and migration phases.
• Prepare training documents and conduct user training sessions.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP MM (Mandatory)

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration
• Strong understanding of procurement and logistics operations
• Experience with:
  • Material Planning
  • MRP procedures
  • Cycle counting
  • Inventory management (valuations, stock movements, reconciliations)

Data Migration / Master Data (Mandatory)

• Must have worked on:
  • Extraction, cleansing, mapping, migration, and reconciliation
  • Mass uploads (required)
• Minimum 1 end-to-end implementation as the primary functional resource for MM data requirements, supporting ETL/reporting efforts.

SAP MDG (Required/Preferred)

• Experience with:
  • SAP MDG approval workflows
  • Business validations and derivations
  • MDG user interface customization
  • Business Context Viewer
  • Master data consolidation
