Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. The ideal candidate will ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, utilizing strong knowledge of development practices and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities: - Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Execute story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimate work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
- Utilize multiple architectural patterns/components in the design and delivery of solutions
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, and support of business functionality
Requirements: - 4+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in SQL Development
- Demonstrable experience with Oracle database development, manual and automated
- Knowledge of Java, Shell, Spring Boot
- Testing experience with JUnit
- Experience with platform tools such as Jenkins, Git, JFrog Artifactory, Splunk, or RHEL
- Experience packaging and deploying services via WAR files
- Experience with integration via RESTful and SOAP interfaces
Desired skills: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree
- Experience with Cloud technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Solid understanding of containerization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
