Summary

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology teams. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of distributed systems and near real-time data processing solutions for Citi's banking tech organization.
  • Analyze, review, code and alter applications to increase operating efficiency and adapt Citi's applications to new requirements.
  • Drive design, development, testing and deployment aspects of computer systems deliverables. Develop applications, provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis to define problems, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business or user needs.
  • Take responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions. Mentoring other developers on their implementation while needed, and organizing review activities like design review, code review and technical document review etc. to make sure the success is deliverable.
  • Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality. Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems.

Recommended Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
  • Core Technical Skills:
    • Java (Functional Programming, Spring Boot Libraries, Reactive Frameworks)
    • Kafka
    • Microservices Design and Development
    • Kubernetes, Docker
    • MongoDB
  • Good understanding of Data Virtualization tools like Trino, Starburst.
  • Database Expertise: Proficient with relational (Oracle) and basics of NoSQL (MongoDB) database skill.
  • Good understanding of Python programming language.
  • Software Development Best Practices: Understands object-oriented programming, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and version control (e.g., GitHub)
  • Hands on experience developing applications using AI tools like Claude code / Devin
  • Good to have knowledge of LLM, Agentic AI and AI enabled development tools like copilot.
