Process Integrator We are seeking a hands-on Semiconductor Process Integrator to support the development, execution, and optimization of semiconductor fabrication processes within an early-stage R&D environment. This role is ideal for someone who has experience operating semiconductor fabrication equipment and working closely with engineers to develop and improve process flows. The ideal candidate will have experience in startup, research, university, or pilot-line fabrication environments where flexibility, problem-solving, and hands-on execution are critical. This is not a pure Process Engineer role, nor a traditional Process Technician position. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between process development and fabrication execution, contributing to process optimization, device fabrication, characterization, and prototype development activities. This is an initial 3 6-month engagement with the potential for extension based on project needs.
Scope: Operate and maintain semiconductor fabrication equipment in support of R&D and prototype development activities.
Execute process flows and support development of new fabrication processes.
Work closely with engineers and researchers to optimize process parameters and improve device performance.
Support wafer fabrication activities including deposition, etch, lithography, and characterization processes.
Collect, analyze, and document process and characterization data.
Assist with troubleshooting process issues, equipment performance, and yield-related challenges.
Support design iterations through basic CAD work and process documentation updates.
Maintain accurate process records, run logs, and experimental documentation.
Contribute to process development efforts in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Required: Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience operating semiconductor fabrication equipment.
Experience working in a startup fab, university cleanroom, research lab, pilot line, or small-scale semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with semiconductor process development and experimental process optimization.
Ability to independently execute process flows and troubleshoot fabrication challenges.
Strong documentation and data analysis skills.
Comfortable working in an evolving R&D environment with changing priorities.
Pluses: Experience with Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD).
Experience with Reactive Ion Etching (RIE).
Experience with Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD).
Experience with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
Experience with semiconductor device characterization and metrology tools.
Exposure to nanotechnology, MEMS, advanced materials, or emerging semiconductor technologies.
Basic CAD experience supporting device layouts, process development, or prototyping activities.
Experience supporting both fabrication and characterization efforts within a research-focused environment.
Ideal Background: Semiconductor startup.
University or academic fabrication facility.
National laboratory cleanroom environment.
R&D semiconductor pilot line.
Nanotechnology or advanced materials research environment.
Estimated Min Rate: $45.00
Estimated Max Rate: $55.00/hr+. Depends on work experience
