Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Test Facility and Controls
Location: Evendale, Ohio

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our test facility equipment and specialized control systems. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary technical authority for facility infrastructure, bridging the gap between operational needs and engineering solutions. You will coordinate directly with the Test Facilities Engineering department to manage engineering requests, design and maintain test infrastructure systems, produce precise technical drawings, and ensure the safety, reliability, and optimization of our advanced testing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership (SME): Serve as the definitive technical authority on all electrical equipment, power distribution, and control systems within the test facilities; troubleshoot complex system failures and guide long-term infrastructure upgrades.
  • Request & Project Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for the Test Facilities Engineering department to evaluate, prioritize, scope, and execute internal engineering requests from inception to completion.
  • Engineering Documentation: Design, modify, and maintain detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and P&IDs
  • Controls & Automation: Oversee, program, and optimize facility control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, data acquisition (DAQ) hardware, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Technical Specifications: Author comprehensive technical documentation, equipment specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and bill of materials (BOM) for procurement and installation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical engineers, facility technicians, safety teams, and external contractors to execute hardware integration, commissioning, and system validation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical designs and facility equipment strictly adhere to relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a similar engineering field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of progressive engineering experience, specifically focused on industrial test facilities, complex control systems, or plant automation.
