Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Develop concepts and preliminary layouts for custom automation and machinery.
- Review customer specifications, RFQs, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and technical proposals covering labor, materials, engineering, and installation.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers during the quoting process.
- Work directly with customers to clarify requirements, present solutions, and provide technical support throughout the sales process.
Qualifications:
- Experience with custom automation, machine building, or manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of robotics, automated assembly, material handling, machining, welding, gauging, or testing systems.
- Ability to develop equipment concepts and estimate project costs.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred.
- Strong customer-facing, technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
